Air conditioning upgrading
@ office of Singapore Zoo
Project details – VRV system
We are delighted to have secured the contract for the replacement of the office air conditioning system at Mandai Zoo. Our team replaced existing VRF condensing units and cassettes with Daikin’s Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) condensing units and matching cassette units.
Project phases
- Preparation phase
- Delivery of new cassette units & VRVs in groups
- Dismantling of old aircon units
- Installation phase
- Installation, testing & commissioning
- Programming VRVs & Daikin Reiri centralised controller
- Post-installation phase
Proficient crane operators executed a safety-assessed procedure to replace worn-out Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRV) systems with new Daikin VRVs.
Our supplier delivered the cassette units in stages to align with the installation schedule.
Our team systematically disassembled the VRFs and cassette units in designated groups, ensuring they were neatly organised for efficient removal.
Installation of VRVs and cassette units
During the installation schedule, the VRV teams and cassette installation teams replaced the units, connecting them to the existing piping and electrical wiring while taking measures to ensure the cleanliness of office spaces.
Compact variants of Daikin cassette units were utilised in smaller spaces to enhance operational efficiency.
Testing & Commissioning
Our team commissioned the Daikin VRVs and configured the centralised controller, and set up the aircon schedule. Subsequently, the team confirmed the airflow readings.
The centralised controller Reiri provides convenient, unified access to and monitoring of all units. Units in each room can also be named for easy reference.
